Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the BUET Alumni UK platform (“the Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

2. Eligibility

The Service is intended for alumni of the Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) based in the United Kingdom, and their guests. By registering, you confirm that the information you provide is accurate and complete.

3. Account Registration

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorised use of your account. BUET Alumni UK is not liable for any loss resulting from unauthorised access to your account.

4. Use of the Service

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
  • Share false or misleading information
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to other accounts or systems
  • Harass or harm other members

5. Event Registrations and Payments

By registering for events and making payments through the Service, you agree to the event-specific terms communicated at the time of registration. Refund policies are determined on a per-event basis.

6. Intellectual Property

All content on the Service, including text, images, and design, is the property of BUET Alumni UK unless otherwise stated. You may not reproduce or distribute content without prior written consent.

7. Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

8. Termination

BUET Alumni UK reserves the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time if you violate these Terms or if your membership is otherwise revoked.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, BUET Alumni UK shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
